# Quickstart

> Sign up, set up your first project in four steps, and see your first figures.

Setting up takes four steps: **Workspace**, **Brand**, **Review** and **Activation**. Every step has **Save & exit**, and you pick up where you left off when you come back.

**1. Create your account**

Go to [app.citino.ai/signup](https://app.citino.ai/signup). Enter your email and a password, agree to the terms, and press **Create account**. Or press **Continue with Google** and agree to the terms on the next screen instead.

No card is needed to start.

**2. Step 1: Workspace**

Give your workspace a name, usually your company or team, and pick a **Country**. The country sets the market we ask the engines from.

Then choose what you are setting up: **A brand** (track your own company) or **An agency** (client brands, one project per client).

> [!WARNING]
>
> This choice decides how the app is laid out for the life of the workspace. It is not a plan setting, and you cannot switch it later.

**3. Step 2: Brand**

Enter your brand's name and website, then press **Research my brand**. We read your site and search for your competitors, which usually takes under a minute.

If the research is slow or cannot read your site, choose **Enter it myself** and fill in the next step by hand.

An agency does this step for its first client. Every later client is added from All projects: see [Clients](https://docs.citino.ai/guides/agencies/clients.md).

**4. Step 3: Review**

**Check what we found.** Everything on this screen came from your site and a web search, and all of it is editable:

* **What you do** and **Products**: how the research described you.
* **Your market**: the market your questions are about.
* **Segments and questions**: the groups your questions sit in, usually by product line or use case, and the questions themselves. Choose **Suggested for you** (up to ten questions drafted from your site and market) or **Write my own** (type them one at a time, or **Paste a list**, one question per line).
* **Competitors**: the brands you want to compare yourself with. You need at least three.

Every question must sit in a segment, and the segments you keep here are the ones your scores count. A question that names your brand or a competitor is still added, but it is tracked separately and kept out of your score: see [Scope and segments](https://docs.citino.ai/guides/scope-and-segments.md).

A live count shows your questions against your plan's prompt limit. If you are over it, remove questions until it fits; see [Plans and limits](https://docs.citino.ai/guides/account/plans-and-limits.md).

Press **Continue**. This creates your project and starts collecting straight away.

**5. Step 4: Activation, your first collection**

We ask every question on every engine, read the answers, and work out your figures. The screen shows each stage as it happens and how many answers are finished.

You can leave this page: collection carries on without it. If it is still running after five minutes, **Show what we have so far** opens the results with a "still running" note.

When it is done you see:

* your visibility, with its `±` range and the number of answers behind it;
* your rank among every brand the engines named;
* who is named most, you included;
* the questions you are losing.

If no answer named you, the screen says so plainly and shows who is named instead and where the engines read about them. Zero is a finding, not an error: it says the answers are being written without you.

Press **Go to overview** to go to your Overview.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your history starts with this first collection. Nothing before it was measured for you, so nothing is shown before it.

## After your first day

Every question is asked once a day on every engine, so your charts fill out as the days arrive.

Overview has a **Setup** panel: "A few one-time steps that make these numbers more useful. None of them holds up collecting answers." Good ones to do first:

* [Invite your team](https://docs.citino.ai/guides/invite-your-team.md).
* Connect Google Analytics from [Integrations](https://docs.citino.ai/guides/account/integrations.md), so Attribution can show what your AI visits are worth.
* Check your competitors and segments in [Project settings](https://docs.citino.ai/guides/screens/project-settings.md).
