# Answers

> Every answer the AI engines gave to your questions, in full, searchable, with who was named and which pages were read.

Answers is the evidence behind every number in Citino. It answers: what exactly did the engines tell a buyer?

> Every answer the AI engines gave to your questions, in full and exactly as we stored it.

## The toolbar

* **Search answers** searches every stored answer in the window. It matches the answer text exactly, so try a shorter word, a brand or a domain if nothing comes back.
* **Engine** narrows the list to one engine, or **All engines**.
* **One question ×** appears when you came here from a question’s Prompt detail. Clear it to see answers to every question.
* **Export CSV** is shown and not available yet.

The window is the one you picked on Overview. A count above the list says how many answers are shown, or how many match your search.

## Each answer

Every answer is a card, newest first.

* **The status line**: the engine, the day it answered, and whether it named you, and where (for example, which place you took among the brands it named) or "not named".
* **The question**, linked to its Prompt detail.
* **The answer itself**, in full, as the engine wrote it. **View more** opens a long answer; **Show less** closes it. An answer longer than the display limit is cut on screen and kept whole in storage.
* **Brands named**: every brand this answer mentions, in the order it mentions them. Your brand is highlighted; every other brand is shown the same way.
* **Sources**: the web pages this answer drew on. They are the pages to influence if you want the answer to change.
* **One action**, at the foot of every card: **Open the prompt** when you were named, **See who is winning this prompt** when you were not, and **See the other engines** when the engine declined to answer.

An engine that declined to answer is shown as that: "declined to answer this question" on that day. A refusal is counted as data, not hidden as an error.

**Show more answers** loads the next page.

## Empty and error states

* **No answers in this scope yet**: collection runs every day and the first answers land after the next run. A window that starts before collection began will also read empty; widen the scope or the date range.
* **No answers contain your search**: the screen names the search and offers **Clear the search**. Search covers this window only, so widen the window to go further back, or clear the engine filter.
* **No answers from this engine in this scope**: clear the engine filter.
* **Loading** keeps the toolbar, so you can always clear what produced an empty list.
