Of all the brand mentions in those answers, the share that were you. When an answer names five brands, each gets a fifth of it.
Share of voice sits beside visibility on Overview. It is counted over the same answers, in the same scope, and carries the same n, with a ± range of its own.

How it differs from visibility

The two answer different questions:
  • Visibility asks: were you in the answer at all?
  • Share of voice asks: of every brand the answers named, how much of that was you?
Every brand named takes a slice, so the shares of all the brands named add up to 100%. That is why share of voice is usually lower than visibility: an answer that names you alongside several others gives you full credit for visibility and only a slice of the voice.

Reading the two together

A sudden change in how many brands the answers name moves everyone’s share at once, without anyone gaining ground. When an engine does that, the day is labelled on your charts: see Drift labels.

Who else is named

Your share of voice is on Overview. To see who takes the rest, open the Brands screen: it ranks every brand named in your answers by visibility, with your own brand highlighted.
